Planetary Bar Chime - Synodic Moon

Meinl Bar Chimes are tuned to the planetary frequencies as calculated by Hans Cousto. These chimes are made from extruded aluminium, which is a strong, but soft metal. This creates a chime with a clear tone and long sustain. But Aluminium is soft which means the occasional nicks and scuffs may appear on the chime. This doesn't affect the sound.

These chimes are at the higher frequency/overtone/octave than the corresponding gong. Most chimes are in the 7th Octave, with only the Sun being in the 6th.

They sound a strong fundamental that is uplifting and cleansing. A perfect small instrument to add to your sonic collection. The frequencies of the chimes are as follows:

Synodic Moon 3366.72 Hz or G# in the 7th octave.
