Behind the Wires, The Original Network

On May 24, 1844, Samuel Morse tapped out the first telegraph message: "What hath God wrought!" He predicted a mechanical network making "one neighbourhood of the whole world." Today, that vision has evolved into a global web of copper, 5G, fibre optics, and satellites.

Yet the ancients required no physical hardware to communicate over vast distances. From Aboriginal "Dreamtime" telepathy to Native American medicine men entering altered states, our ancestors tapped directly into a non-local field of shared awareness. Biologist Rupert Sheldrake identified this as the morphic resonance field—an invisible, collective memory matrix. It explains for instance how isolated dolphin in aquariums thousands of miles apart simultaneously learned to blow perfect underwater bubble rings. It may also explain why identical concepts like pyramids and labyrinths mysteriously appeared on opposite sides of the Atlantic.

Journalist Lynne McTaggart heavily researched this phenomenon, proving through The Power of 8 that human consciousness is an interconnected web capable of transmitting intention instantly across space.  Quantum mechanics explains this through the entanglement theory.

We have come full circle. Modern neuroscience now validates that which the ancients practiced.  Aristarchus of Samos stated in 300 BC that the sun was the centre of the universe, it was not proved until 2000 years later by observations by Galileo and Kepler.

Gongs do alter our state of consciousness. We can measure brainwaves and observe how quickly we enter the Default Mode Network where our ego centre quiets down, dissolving our isolated sense of self and instead encounter something bigger, vaster than our comprehension. This is AWE.  The tsunami of complex overtones and harmonics overwhelms our analytical mind triggering theta leaving us with a deeply profound sense of universal connection.

We don't need satellites and i-phones to connect; we simply need to be in the presence of gongs.
