Labyrinths are ancient patterns used for walking meditation. They calm the mind and sooth the soul sparking inspiration and insights. Volunteers from the studio painted the scale model of the famous Chartres labyrinth at Star Ferry nearly ten years ago. Since that time we have had to repaint the surface once. It is now time to do so again.

Management will prep the surface and supply paint, the studio will provide brushes, latex gloves and paint thinner and we ask you to supply labor. All that is required is to carefully paint over the existing lines. You’ll need to sit on the ground so wear appropriate clothing. Come along and spend some time in the shade on a summer’s day beautifying a landmark in central, a space that offers walkers a few moments of self reflection in their busy lives. Painting, drawing or making a labyrinth in itself is considered a beneficial meditation practice. So why not come along and relax and renew with a brush in your hand.

No experience necessary, minimum age 12. Depending on the number of volunteers we may finish before 1600.
