The Sacred Secret of Healing Sounds Workshop

Sat-Sun, May 11-12, 0930-1700 each day and 1830-2030 on Saturday

It is a rare event indeed to be in the presence of a master craftsman of sacred instruments and sound willing to share his knowledge of the making and using these powerful tools of transformation.  Over the course of the weekend Martin will share how the healing quality of sound depends on the quality and type of metal used in the manufacturing of the instruments. And how he transforms metal through the spirit of handicraft into tools of transformation. There will be plenty of time to experience the sacred sounds produced by his unique collection of instruments through demonstrations and meditations, as well as hands on opportunities.  You will learn how to play the instruments to elicit the optimum effect and to feel the resonance of the sounds within.

If you are interested in sound as a modality for wellbeing, if you are currently playing singing bowls or gongs or are simply interested in the ‘why does it work?’ then this is a workshop for you. Your questions will be answered.

Martin will share his unique collection of gongs, singing bowls, trigons, oblongs and other metal sound objects. He alone in the world has developed and mastered their manufacture to the highest of quality, tuning and craftsmanship. As a serious sound practitioner, or one who is interested in learning more, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

About Martin

Martin Bläse is a third generation Master Silversmith and Gong Master based in Northern Germany.  His training, his deep spiritual practice and sense of curiosity has led him to develop a unique form of forging gongs and other sacred instruments.  His meticulous craftsmanship combined with his innate resonance with his materials has led him to explore and create instruments with a spirit unlike any others.  They only have to be heard to understand.

Turning his hand professionally to the creation of sound instruments in 1993, Martin is a rare artisan and considers creating new overtone-instruments to be his sacred profession. Martin is the creator and maker of cosmic tuned instruments including Trigons, Cosmic Tubes, and Sound Plates plus singing bowls and gongs.  He is a meditation facilitator and creator of wonderful instruments - a sacred artist in the truest sense. His passion, purpose and skills are otherworldly.  In his words -

“The sacred silversmithing is the heart of my work. The necessary combination of craftsmanship and spirituality is the reason why I have learned this profession at all. As long as the inspired interpenetration of spirit and matter is alive in this work, silversmithing is not a dying profession, for it is directly linked to the source of all life.”
