I'm always sad to leave paradise, but I leave behind the hopes of coming again soon. Irina Shayk
The Cambridge dictionary describes Paradise as a place or condition of great happiness where everything is exactly as you would like it to be; heaven. Each of us has our own definition.
Last night my daughter and I watched the sun set over a vast expanse of beach, made bare by the largest tides in the world. Walking and collecting feathers and shells we were lost in our thoughts knowing that we will take treasured memories with us of this years visit while leaving footprints to disappear on the next tide.
Paradise for me is the quiet and solitude of walking the tides, listening to the silence in the woods where not one sound dares to break the spell of night, gazing in awe at the stars, watching the antics of hummingbirds or simply enjoying the company of friends in front of a fire.
The cabin reminds of us of simple pleasures, of a life lived where the pace is slow, nature is near and the internet far far away. Where do you find your paradise?
Wherever my travels may lead, paradise is where I am. Voltaire
